Live thoroughbred horse racing at Fonner Park from late February thru early May. This sport is a mainstay of the Grand Island community since its debut in 1954. Call ahead for reservations in the Clubhouse, cheer on your favorite horse from the open-air grand stand or catch the action front row center on the apron next to the track! Sponsor a blanket race or host a special "day at the races".
Fonner Park Clubhouse:
Reserve a table in the Clubhouse on race day or book a special event in the Clubhouse during the off season. Seating for 600 on the upper level with seating for another 1,100 in the tier seats overlooking the racetrack. Over 200 televisions, para-mutuel teller lines and two concession stands in a climate controlled atmosphere. Multipurpose facility for large crowds in the
off-season.
Fonner Park
Executive Suite:
Premier entertainment space for Fonner Park's special guests. Seating for 50 inside with additional seating available on the connecting deck overlooking the racetrack. Catering, bar and
up-scale meals available in this elegant suite. This room may be rented throughout the year for special events or during the live race meet to entertain family, friends, employees and customers at a day at the races.

The Heartland
Events Center:
The Event Center’s Eihusen Arena offers 30,000 sq. ft. of floor space in addition to the adjoining 33,000 sq. ft. Fonner Concourse, provides trade show space for 280 booths. The arena comfortably seats 6,000-7,500 people and is surrounded by the Bosselman Conference Center, break-out rooms, four team locker rooms and dressing rooms with all the technical equipment necessary for successful meetings, banquets and sporting events. Twelve (privately leased) suites overlook the arena with ample restroom facilities and concessions on both levels, ticket box office and handicap accessibility. Centrally located in Nebraska and the USA, just minutes off of I-80 with something for everyone!
